Ecuador is a great country to visit. I took Spanish lessons in Quito the first week, four hours every morning. Quito is one of the best places to learn Spanish and the prices are very reasonable. In Ecuador I went to Otavalo just north of Quito for a day trip, it has a great market. I took a bus down to the coastal town of Atacames that is worth a visit if you have a couple of days. I also went to Manta a larger coastal town which is a good place to visit for a few days also.

In Quito I booked a trip to the Galapagos Islands, the trip included flights and a small ship to visit different islands. It was cheaper just to book the trip in Quito. On my ship were two couples from England that had booked a much more luxurious cruise of the Galapagos but their flight was delayed and they ended up on the ship I was on, which was still good.

Here are a few photos of my trip to the Galapagos Islands
